About Me
Hello everybody....
My name is Lazizhon and I'm from Uzbekistan. I'm 20 years old. I came here in february 2012...
Here I'll write my reflections in introduction to computer and internet ...
You can find more information about by just clicking my name at the bottom in the right corner =)
Binary decimal, octal etc. numbers
In the first lesson of the first week we did ice breaking session first...
After the ice -breaking session, the lecturer told us about what we are going to learn in this course, what assignment we should do and so on.
The first week's topics were quite easy for me and my friends, because we studied introduction to information technology. Theses subjects seemed to me almost similar....
The new thing we learnt was these kind of numbers called binary numbers. Besides we learn decimal, octal and so on.
History of computers
| Pre computers and Early Computers (before 1940s) |
Then we started new topic. It was about computers, its history, architecture of them, size, processing power and their types.
We began to learn from computers' history first.:
| First Generation (1940-1950) :: Vacuum Tube |
| Second Generation (1950-1964) :: Transistors |
| Fourth Generation (1974-Present) :: VLSI / ULSI |
Fifth Generation (now and the future)
|
Right after that, we studied computer's processing the way it works...
Then Times came to learn its categories. We learn that it has five categories, they are:
| Embedded computers |
Personal computers
|
Mobile devices/
computers
